New Playscape Coming to Bay City!

Friends of the Riverview Discovery Island is a grass-roots committee comprised of city and business leaders, parents, and other community volunteers working to build an all new community playground at Bigelow Park, on the middle grounds (an island within the Saginaw River) near the Bay City Boys and Girls Club.

The goal of this committee is to have an all-inclusive, ADA accessible playscape with universally accessible components completed in 2018. We envision a “destination playground” — a place where all children of all abilities can come together in the spirit of play to explore, create, and imagine.

Plans are still in the works, but we hope you’ll be a part of its growth through sharing with your friends, donating, sponsoring a brick, or sponsoring through your business! Together, we can make this playground a destination for the Great Lakes Bay Region and beyond!

Pave the Path to Play!

We invite you to purchase an engraved brick to cement your legacy in this incredible new playground. Buy a brick to show your family’s support, honor a friend or loved one, or send well-wishes to the children of today and in the future! Your brick will be included in the walkways to and around the playground.

>> Sponsor a brick for the playground

>> Donate to help build the playground endowment

The endowment fund will ensure that there are always funds available to maintain the playscape so that future generations can enjoy it!
