Bay County Riverwalk/Railtrail

  This interconnected 17.5 mile network of pedestrian walkways provides non-motorized, handicapped-accessible pathways linking the full range of our community landscapes; from Bay City's highly popular riverfront at Veteran's Memorial Park, to the City's center, and back out again through woodlands and marshes to agricultural and residential areas of Portsmouth, Hampton and Bangor Townships.  Our most recent trail extension links the Bay City loop northwesterly to the Bay City State Recreation Area.   

Thousands of residents and visitors walk, run, or ride our trails every year.  Convenient parking is available throughout the area and is clearly marked on all trail maps.
