
Bay Area Community Foundation's Scholarship Application Now Available
The Bay Area Community Foundation’s college scholarship application for the 2009/2010 school year is now, click here. Scholarships will be awarded this spring from over 80 donor sponsored scholarship funds to graduating seniors and current college students from Bay and Arenac County. The deadline for applying (including all accompanying required materials) is March 2, 2009. The 2009 scholarship application can be completed online. Students will create an account on the Bay Area Community Foundation’s website and submit their information. If a student does not have internet access, please contact Renee Courier at the Bay Area Community Foundation, 989-893-4438.
“In 1985, the Bay Area Community Foundation awarded one $300 scholarship. Since then, the Foundation has awarded over $1.6 million in scholarships to more than 2,700 students. In 2009, we hope to award more than 400 scholarships. We are delighted the Bay Area Community Foundation has grown to where we can help this many students with the financial burden of paying for college,” said Eileen A. Curtis, President & CEO.
